CHANT:
Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha
Meaning:
“om” is the sacred sound of the Universe.
“Gam” is the sound of Ganesha.
“Ganapataye” is another word for Ganesha.
And “nahama” means “I offer my salutations and bow to you.”
om gam ganapataye namaha “salutations to the remover of obstacles.”
Ganesha is the elephant-headed god, son of Shiva and Parvati. This is a very powerful mantra to remove obstacles, negativity, and fears. According to Hinduism, Lord Ganesha is the master of knowledge and wisdom and the first deity to be worshipped during any rites.
Personally I love Ganesha and find so much happiness when I chant this particular mantra about 108 times before beginning a project or the day. It balances our chakras and brightens our internal light.
